    Maui Upcountry Downhill Bike

    Your biking adventure starts when you meet Maui Easy Rider's owners/guides at the beautiful Baldwin Park, on Maui's North Shore Beach of Paia. So you may want to bring a towel and your sense of adventure because it doesn't get any better than this! With Maui Easy Riders you'll get the biggest bang for your buck. You will enjoy a world class tour, an awesome bike ride, beautiful beaches and more, and all at the perfect pace, not too fast... not too slow!  It will definitely be an unique experience you'll never forget!

    Your tour will start with a van ride up to the 6,500 foot level of Mount Haleakala, where your ride will start from.  You'll ride on a 15 passenger van with a maximum of 8 participants, so you are guaranteed to ride in comfort while enjoying very personal service as every tour is owner operated. The bikes are brand new, well polished and maintained to ensure you a fun and safe bike ride! Before arriving at the starting point of your bike tour, you'll get to make a stop at Kula flower farm, for some great picture opportunities.

    Once your Maui bike ride starts at the 6,500 foot level, you'll experience changes on climate, vegetation and some of the most beautiful sceneries on every turn. In addition to many stops for pictures,  to take in the beautiful scenery and smell the fresh upcountry air, you will also make a very convenient stop about 3/4 of the way into the ride to give you a chance to explore an original Hawaiian paniolo (cowboy) town, Makawao, on the slopes of Maui, where you will have the opportunity to grab a snack, take pictures, and even buy some souvenirs! After Makawao you will hop on your customized downhill bike and ride downhill again, all the way to the hippie town of Paia, at sea level. Your tour will cover more ground/miles on the bicycles than any of other Guided Downhill Bike Tour Company on Maui. Bottom line, you'll enjoy a tour featuring stops and activities not offered by any other Maui Bike Tour, guaranteed!

    TOUR RESTRICTIONS:
    Before you contact us to sign up for a Maui Downhill Bike Tour you may want to consider the following...

    1. You'll be required to sign a liabilty release/waiver form accepting responsibility for your own actions while on the Guided Bike Tour.

    2. No beginners. Basic bike riding skills are necessary in order to ride down Haleakala.

    3. There is a maximum weight limit of 275lbs as a standard for bike tours here on Maui. Those weighing over 275lbs should call us so we can assess your height, weight and experience as exceptions can be made in certain cases.

    4.  Minimum age to ride a downhill bike is 14.

    5. For the safety of all participants, everyone will be required to follow basic safety rules and guidelines. Tour will never exceed posted speed limits, and anyone who is found unwilling to follow the rules may subject to being pulled out from the ride and made ride the van for the remainder of the tour (no refunds or credits will be issued).

    6. Just like any other activity, there is risk involved. Be sure that you are capable of doing this Downhill Biking Activity. If you are unsure of your riding capabilities just give us a call here in Maui and we will be happy to talk with you about it.

    7. You are always welcome to ride in our escort van for a scenic tour of Maui, if at any point during our ride, you are not comfortable riding the bike. 

    8. Due to the risks and type of activity we are unable to accept pregnant riders.
