    Maui Luau Review

    Maui Activities - Don't know what Luau to go to in Maui? Read on! Here at Ohana Fun we all live and work in Hawaii. We get to do all of these amazingly fun activities in Hawaii that we sell! The great news for any of our customers is that we can help you find the best fit for you and your group. As for the luaus in Maui, we've been to them all... and go back to them regularly. Some people will say a luau is a luau. And though that may be true to a certain extent, there are some differences that will make a difference when you're trying to find the best Maui Luau to celebrate your time here!

    First of all, some may ask, "What is a Luau anyway?". A luau is a dinner feast (often buffet) with a variety of Hawaiian cultural music and dance performance. Many Luaus in Maui will also incorporate other Polynesian cultural influences into the performances. The most sought after being the Samoan Fire Knife dance that is found at almost every Maui Luau.

    Old Lahaina Luau - The Old Lahaina Luau is probably the most popular luau in all of Hawaii. They do a superb job of sharing the historic cultural Hawaiian expression to every participant every night. The Old Lahaina is the standard when it comes to authentic Hawaiian luaus. Now this does mean that you won't be seeing any fire knife performance though. There are two styles of seating, traditional mat seating in the front and tables and chair seating for the subsequent three rows. Table tops are rectangular and seat eight. Everyone will have a great view as each row is slightly elevated. The food and drinks are excellent… you will not leave in want. Make sure you book the Old Lahaina Luau well in advance, as it is usually sold out on short notice. During the busy seasons (Christmas/New Years) and Summer (July) the luau will be sold out several weeks in advance. Seating is based on when the reservations are made, so the sooner you book, the better your seating! So... what are you waiting for?!?

    Grand Wailea Luau - The Grand Wailea Luau is located on the beautiful grounds of the Grand Wailea Resort in Wailea. The sunsets are spectacular while you feast and laugh your way through the evening. The Grand Wailea Luau is more of a modern take on the Luau. They have some traditional elements, but there are definitely some new themes that come through the performance. It is very upbeat and energetic and great for guests of all ages! All of the tables are round and seat up to ten. There are two seating sections, the premium or VIP and the standard. Premium tables are the front two rows of tables. For Adults the VIP seats are only $10 more and a great deal. The Grand Wailea Luau only operates on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

    Royal Lahaina Luau - The Royal Lahaina Luau is the best priced Maui luau we have. It is located in Kaanapali on the beach, a great place on Maui to watch a sunset! The show is very entertaining with one of the best M.C.'s in the business! Not to mention one of the best Fire knife performers in all of Hawaii!! The kids will have a blast (they even have their own designated buffet). We also have a great kid special. Seating is at banquet style tables.

    Feast at Lele - The Feast at Lele is the most intimate luau experience you could have in Maui. Located right on the beach in Lahaina, each party has their own private table to take in the beautiful evening. The Feast at Lele is a little different than the other Luaus in Maui. As mentioned, you and your party will have your own table. But, it also is not buffet... it is a waited four course meal! During the course of the evening there will be a variety of Polynesian cultures displayed through the performances and the food.
