We have worked with our Vendors in order to offer the best rates possible. All children prices are listed on the information page of each tour. Children prices for the most part are less than adult prices. Senior discounts are also available on specific activities. Many times throughout the year we have specials with FREE CHILDREN. Please ask your internet concierge for more details.
You may hold a reservation by calling our Reservations line at 1-800-350-3849. We will require a credit card number in order to hold the reservation. You are responsible to call us in the event of a cancellation or rescheduling at least 48 hours prior to your activity time. Purchasing your tickets on line will guarantee you the special rates offered, while a hold will only guarantee your seat, but not the actual rate.
YES. Our prices are some of the lowest available anywhere, and additional sales taxes (HI = 4.167% - 4.712% on Oahu) as well as harbor fees, fuel surcharges, etc. may play a role on additional costs. ohanafun.net will never charge you more than the charges pre-established by the Vendors. We do not charge for our concierge services.
Transportation is not included unless stated on your ticket, along with the pick up time and location. You are responsible to arrive at your activity at the scheduled check in time, regardless of how you choose to get there. With the exception of the island of Oahu (Waikiki beach), where several tour operators offer transportation as part of their packages, most other islands' do not (public transportation is not one of Hawaii's strongest assets, to put it mildly). Just as a reference, a 20 minute taxi fare (round trip) will probably cost you as much as a 2-day car rental, so we highly recommend a rental car for your entire stay on Maui, Kauai or the Big Island of Hawaii. Please let us know if we can help you with car rental reservations or referrals.
Except for some private charters, gratuities are not included in any of the prices; we feel that tips should be at your discretion and should be earned not expected. This encourages your activity guides to work extra hard to make your day more special.
Your tickets will be emailed or faxed to you as soon as our Concierges can confirm your seats with the Activity Provider. You will probably receive also a call from one of our Concierges in order to re-confirm your order and answer any questions you might have.
All vital information, including directions and/or pick up locations and times will be shown on your tickets. Your itinerary will include great product information as well. They will both be emailed or faxed to you for your review. We strive to give our customers the best possible service and we want to make sure you make it to all of your events hassle free. We love to cater to special occasions and can make requests to our Vendors, although we cannot guarantee they will follow through with them. We can also offer you additional services that might guarantee you your heart's desire, such as a flower lei greeting or a fruit basket waiting for you in your room. Every single person in the country has been affected by the increased cost of fuel, and that's no different for us here in Hawaii. Our helicopter, boat, van and just about every tour operator has experienced a huge increase in fuel costs, and just like the airlines, they also need to pass some of that cost on to the consumer in order to maintain operations. You will notice that at the time of your check-out the exact amount required by our Activity Provider as a fuel surcharge will be added to the activity cost and sales taxes. When applicable these additional amounts are 100% payable to the Vendors, which means non-commissions are paid to Ohana Fun! Hawaii.
Hawaii boasts beautiful and warm weather year around, making it a great destination anytime you find a chance to hop on a plane and leave your troubles behind! The coolest months are November - May (70 - 85 degrees) with some early morning and evening rain showers, mostly by the mountains (mauka side). Please keep in mind we have a saying in Hawaii "no rain , no rainbows". July through October are our hottest months (78 - 90 degrees).
In addition to our faithful U.S. Mainland and Canadian travelers, Hawaii has become an international destination for visitors from Europe, Asia, South and Central America, making it a year around destination. Our peak visitor season from the U.S. and Canada is between Thanksgiving and Easter, with the busiest time during the Christmas and New Year holidays and the summer months (July and August). If you want to avoid the crowds, a good option might be May, September or October. If you're planning on visiting Hawaii during the busy season, be sure to book extra early as some of our top activities sell out weeks ahead. Water temperature ranges from 72F in winter to 80F in the summer, so the water is never too cold or too hot, ever!
Early morning or late afternoon flights usually offer the sightseers some of the best results for their pictures or video, since the brightness of the sun is not so intense, allowing for some vivid colors. The weather in Hawaii is very unpredictable, which makes it even more exciting, as a little rain makes some of the most beautiful rainbows! Passenger shuttle services are available between Maui and the islands of Lanai and Molokai. Travel between the major islands of Oahu, Maui, Kauai and the Big Island is done primarily on Hawaiian and Go! Airlines.
All companies that offer snorkeling will give you a personal demonstration on the use of their snorkel equipment. If you are on a snorkel excursion they will provide you with all of your snorkel gear all the snorkel lessons that you wish and many different types of flotation devices to make you feel comfortable in the water. Usually the snorkel companies will put a lifeguard in the water with you.
Hawaii does not experience a time change during the year. We are 6 hours behind the East Coast in the summer, and 5 hours behind in the winter. We are 3 hours behind the West Coast in the summer, and 2 hours behind in the winter.
Humpback Whales come to the Hawaiian Islands from Alaska every year around the same time to mate, bear their young and feed them in preparation for the trip back to Alaska. The official whale watching season starts in mid December and ends in mid May, while the months of February through April boast the greatest numbers of these majestic creatures.
Most snorkel, air & bus tours are able to accommodate young children, while some are even free for children under 6 years old. Our concierges will be happy to suggest activities that will be the most enjoyable for you and your little one(s).

Your purchase is 100% refundable provided you cancel your reservation at least 48 hours prior to its check-in time, unless your activity requires a longer cancellation notice, in which case your concierge will inform you (groups and a couple of airplane tours require 72 hours). Certain exceptions can be made by the Activity Providers, in case of illness (doctor's note required) or other serious matters. Your Ohana Fun! concierge will do everything in his/her power to get you a refund approval. Please remember that once you are within 48 hours from the start time of your tour, you may not cancel or reschedule it for any reason other than a verifiable medical emergency. In the event an Activity Provider cancels your tour due to any reason (weather, mechanical, etc.) your purchase will be 100% refundable. There are NO REFUNDS on no-shows.
