Maui Sunset Horseback Ride

Maui Activities - Enjoy the most gorgeous sunsets in the world - a honeymooners' favorite! With stables conveniently located near Lahaina and Kaanapali, enjoy a spectacular historic horseback tour along the West Maui Mountains featuring breathtaking views of Molokai and Lanai. Friendly trail guides and horses guarantee a great time for all ages.

Owner Ray Fuqua is a 25 year Maui resident and naturalist who started 'Ohe'o Stables in Hana 14 years ago and moved the business to Lahaina in 2004 (becoming Lahaina Stables), with the idea of sharing Maui's secluded natural beauty, local history and folklore with select small groups of riders and like minded folks. A former high school history teacher, his passion for Hawaiian history and culture almost overshadows the natural beauty of this horseback adventure.
Lahaina Stables is the only company offering trailrides to Kauaula Valley and Launiupoko Valley. You will find incredible views of West Maui you will not see any other way but on horseback. Ray's well trained horses and fun, knowledgeable guides make this trip a must for all nature lovers.
This ride will take you along the foothills of the West Maui Mountains where you will be treated to extrodinary sunset views of Molokai, Lanai and Lahaina Town and Harbor. You will ride into Launiopoko Valley where you will dismount for refreshments at our authentic Hawaiian Hale' (house), perched upon a ridge, situated next to an acre Large pond that is fed by cool mountain stream water.

IMPORTANT:
Please choose the correct rider level(s) when booking your adventure (Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced) and ADD BODY WEIGHTS TO THE COMMENT FIELD AT CHECK-OUT
What to bring: Long pants, closed-toed shoes and sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses)
Weight Restriction: 275 lbs. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Minimum Age: 8 (Children under 8 on an individual case basis, upon train boss' approval)
