Tour Notes

The viewing of active lava flow or other natural events are not guaranteed. Volcanic fumes (VOG) are hazardous to your health. Persons with breathing and heart difficulties, pregnant women, infants, and young children are especially at risk should consult a health care professional before taking this tour to avoid potential health problems from exposure to fumes. All passengers are required to sign a release of liability form.

Currently Civil Defense has closed the Kalapana viewing area during the day. Nature changes so the lava flows, viewing location, and the tour will change accordingly.

This volcano tour was the second tour that I have done with this company. The driver that took me to the airport was the same driver on my other tour. I felt so lucky to get to see him again. The guide on the big island was also really great and he made sure that our whole day was great.

We went to the Big Island from Oahu on May 9th and Kamike (sp) was our guide. We could not have asked for a better day. It was an awesome time. He was so informed and friendly and the tour took us to see everything we wanted to see. I would not take a tour with anyone else. It was the best. Kamike made each and every one of us feel like we were part of his family and when we left, it was like leaving home. Thanks for your great tour. I will recommend you to anyone I know is coming here.

We went to the Big Island with this tour and saw really cool lava flows, craters, smoke, and black sand beaches. It is a really crazy feeling to be walking around on a live volcano!

We spent countless hours researching the different tour companies that offered a tour of the volcano & we were very pleased with your tour! Even though it was a long day, it was well worth the time and price. We would do it again in a heartbeat. Our tour guide was Tony and he was much more than we had ever expected. His wealth of knowledge about the history and culture of the Big Island was amazing! We were able to take pictures that were just breathtaking. Best of all was that with each picture, we have a special story that Tony shared with us. Our friends were very jealous when they saw the pictures and heard the stories. Thank you for memorable day!

Cancellations must be made by calling our concierge lines at 808-214-9283.  We will not accept cancellations via email, voicemail, fax or chatline. You must call at least 48 hours before the event for credit or refund to be applied. Some activities require a longer notice or will not allow cancellations once booking is made (each tour description will show exceptions to the 48 hour rule if applicable). Activities are 100% refunded in the event of your tour being canceled by the Activity Provider for any reason, such as weather, mechanical, etc. Ohana Fun!
