    Ultimate Haleakala Bike Day Tour

    MAUI Activities - Tour begins with hotel pick-up and van tour to the Summit of Haleakala. Guides will provide clients with a history of Haleakala, its geology and an explanation of rare plants and animals only found on Maui. Upon arrival at the House of the Sun Visitors Center, clients will be escorted to the rim of the Crater and view into the worlds largest dormant volcano.

    The Tour proceeds to the 6,500 foot level of Haleakala where clients are expertly fitted to their bicycles and begin their 28-mile bike ride down the slopes of Haleakala, continuing thru the switchbacks, and Haleakala Ranch.

    Tour stops at Sunrise Market and Protea Farm for a NO-HOST lunch. The ride of a lifetime continues down through Kula, Makawao, Hailiimaile and to the Pacific Ocean ending at Paia Beach Park.

    We include round trip transportation, continental breakfast en route to the launching point, Columbia Sportswear windbreaker pants and jacket, gloves, helmet and state of the art volcano chrome cruiser bikes.

    Must be 12 years old
    Must be at least 4'10" tall
    Must be a competent bike rider
    May not be pregnant
    Must sign an acknowledgement of risk form
    Must view the Mountain Rider safety video

    Things to consider before participating:
    - Are you taking any medications that would impair your ability to ride safely?
    - Do you have any medical conditions that would affect your ability to ride safely?
    - Are you affraid of heights?
    - Are you comfortable on a bike (getting on and off safely, riding a bicycle in complete control, and maneuvering your bike through 180 degree turns)?

    Please understand that if a participant is found to be unable or unwilling to satisfy the qualifications of participating in this bike tour, Mountain Riders may terminate his/her participation at any point during the tour.
    You must also be aware that this activity entails risk of injury and even death.
